What do you think?

Bought this from a local breeder whom registered this a Phal Dunman High (Ref: INTERNATIONAL REGISTER OF ORCHID HYBRIDSVOLUME 114, NUMBER 1272, NOVEMBER - DECEMBER 2006)

Phal Dunman High

This was bought during SGF 2010 from a Taiwanese seller. The name indicated on the label is Phal bellina x Phal Coral Isle.

Coincidentally, the parentage used is the same. Phal Dunman High - Phal bellina x Phal Coral Isle.

Now lets take a look at Phal Coral Isle that i managed to get it during my last trip to Taiwan.

Phal Coral Isle

Phal Coral Isle

Well we all know how Phal bellina look and shan't post the picture here.

So what do you think? Which is correct?

We will never know for sure if these are siblings from one grex or two different grex. For now let's say they are similar crosses - two different grex with a common parent Phal Coral Isles.

I don't know much abt hybrids but seeds inside the same seed pod may have different genes. Sometimes only one particular plant from the cross may be cloned by the grower to perpetate the qualities.
