More blooms at home

More of my phalaenopsis bloomed over the weekend.Phal Princess Kaiulani 'flava' (Phal amboinensis flava x Phal violacea)

Got this from LMH 1 year ago with the nursery gang during the first day of the new year. Both CC and Melvin plants have bloomed and have grown rather well and have multiple blooms (read jealous haa!)!  This plant really suffered alot due to the harsh environment and it almost died on me.  This was one of the first few phals that i bought home to grow and hopefully in time to come, it will do better.  One of the interesting feature or strong influence from one of the parent is the amboinensis flave gene.  There is another color of the same cross using the normal amboinensis which i dont really like it.

This was bought from Robert during our trip to Cameron with some of the OM gang.  It was still a seedling when i bought it and after one year of growing over the at nursery, it finally bloomed.

The second plant to flower for me at home. So happy to wake up to the wonderful fragant.

Yesterday run

Went for a short run yesterday at ECP and was totally not up to what i had expected it to be. Very bad, not good.. what else can i say

Maybe my body still did not recover from the monday run or i still not fit yet? Only managed to clock 4km at 20 odd minutes. This is bad!

Growing area at home

It is always my dream to be able to grow them at home ever since i got hook on them. It took abt three months to reach this stage and many people have helped me out, from the growing rack, to lighting setup etc. Thanks to all of you that have help me out as i go along and especially to CC, big hug.

Running

Have stop running for almost good two years. Not sure why but just dont feel like doing it. Recently, after reading through a friend's blog and realised that he has start to jog again, i dig out my running shoes two weeks ago, and begin to run around my estate (Old Airport Rd). The first two runs were good but kind of slow caused i used to clock 9 km in 45 mins but now 8 km in an hour. CC was very encouraging and asked me to get back into form slowly...Thanks CC.
