Phalaenopsis
Acacallis cyanea
Got this free from uncle Hon during JB Show.
Done some checking online and found that these epiphytic plants are found throughout the upper Amazon Basin, particularly above the confluence of the Amazon and the Río Negro, and along the upper Río Orinoco above Puerto Ayacucho in western Venezuela. Plants grow in the flat, low-lying forests in areas that are completely innundated during seasonal floods. The host trees partly underwater during a flood with the Acacallis cyanea mostly under water except for part of the rhizome, 1 or 2 of its leaves, and the inflorescence.
Hope to grow this plant well.

JB Orchids Show 2009
Suffered from withdrawal symptom last year as the show was cancelled. This is my second trip and indeed its buy and buy and buy....
Some of my purchases...
Bulbophyllum subumbellatum
Bulbophyllum lepdium
Wanted to get more phalaenopsis this year but so how the stocks are not as many as compared to the last show. Only managed to get this from an unknown store. As usual CML is there and has asked uncle to bring some plants for me and hopefully he does and will definately make my saturday a good one (crossing my fingers and toes now).
Phalaenopsis violacea "malayan"

Phalaenopsis Jessie Ang
Got my first plant from Wairon some time back and i couldn't get enough of this hybrid. The diversity of this particular plant is driving me crazy and so much so that i bought another one today at OSSEA meeting.
This is the one that i bought it from Wairon. It has a very nice sunset color.
Got this from CML.
There are many more posted over at this website.

Bulbophyllum mastersianum
My hope is back
My first attempted to pollinate this blasted and this is my second attempt. I really hope that it will carry to full term and germinate well in the lab. Have been drooling for this hybrid and the kind of offsprings that this hybrid pass on. It would be very interesting to see how this progess especially with those guys over at the nursery. Im getting way too excited now... Keeping my fingers and toes cross...
Phalaenopsis ludde violacea

More blooming phalaenopsis
Took a couple more pictures today.
Phalaenopsis bellina gigantor
One of the biggest bellina in terms of flower that i bought from Wairon
A few more of the same species to share
One can never get tired or enough of bellina well for me at least. They all look so different even though the belong to the same species.

Update on Phalaenopsis Tsay's Evergreen TH44
This plant threw out another flower. Is my eyes playing trick on me or age is catching up. The second flower seems to be larger as compared to the first. As our weather here is relatively warm, most of the flower will be relatively smaller as opposed to those folks that grow them in cooler part of the world.
First bellina bloom at home
This is the H21 that acc gave me. If finally bloomed over at my place after a few months. The firt bulb blasted however the second one flowered and there is another bulb on the way. Strangly, the form of the flower is turning up very differently when i grew it in the nursery.
Any idea why?
